Maritime

When I was in high school, aside from being a portrait painter, I was completely stuck on painting work that depicts, boats, ships and anything Maritime! I had a friend, Kevin Dolan, who had traveled through Alaska in a V.W. Bus (Classic) with one of his best friends. When they returned he threw me an old, corduroy cap, with a Salty Dawg Saloon (located in Homer Alaska) patch stitched on it and said “Margie, This town is filled with boats and artists! Perfect for you!” I headed for Homer Alaska from San Francisco, California in 1997 and have lived and thrived here, raised kids, and have worked with some amazing artists by my side for the last 21 years, Thanks, Kevin!
